The Altamont school board Monday dealt with several personnel needs.
The Board employed J.D. Arnold as high school Social Studies teacher, and hired Renea Buchanan and Alexia Hovis as grade school paraprofessionals. Resignations were accepted from Chelsea Tonn as district nurse, Kara Milligan as grade school paraprofessional, and from Sam Plum as high school teacher and junior high basketball coach. The Board approved volunteers including Kirbie Mendenhall for junior high softball and Pierce Borah for grade school baseball.
The Board named J.D. Arnold as high school baseball coach, succeeding the departing Alan Whitt, and Eric Morales as high school soccer coach.
Altamont board members heard from Lance Freezeland on soccer criteria for Hall of Fame and to say thanks for letting the Lions Club use the soccer fields for their traveling junior high soccer program.
