The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that the Henrietta Street/Jefferson Avenue intersection in Effingham will partially open on Saturday, July 12.
Work will continue on Henrietta Street to construct the center turn lanes and raised median between Fayette Avenue and Jefferson Avenue. Motorists on Henrietta Street will use the newly constructed outside lanes with one lane open in each direction.
Traffic traveling on Henrietta Street will be prohibited from making left turns at the Jefferson Avenue intersection. Motorists on Jefferson Avenue will only be able to turn right onto Henrietta
Street. Advance signing and barrels will be used to direct traffic along Henrietta Street and Jefferson Avenue.
