Traffic was blocked on northbound I-57 in Coles County Thursday afternoon when two semis collided.
The crash happened just after 1pm in the area between the Lake Land College interchange and the interchange at Illinois Route 16. The collision blocked northbound traffic and resulted in police routing traffic off at US Route 45. The passing lane was reopened after about a half hour but police are still trying to get the other lane open.
Two people from the semis were transported to the hospital with injuries.
