Teutopolis village board members Wednesday discussed a potential expansion of the Effingham-Teutopolis Enterprise Zone.
The expansion would be to include Ruholl Trailer Sales in the zone.
The Board discussed Garage Band Night in Teutopolis and the possibility of some board members attending a planning meeting. There was also discussion of road oiling. Milano and Grunloh Engineers will check on prices and extent of work this year will then be decided.
The Board voted to purchase a lawn mower from Sloan Implement for $14,449. Discussion of amending the golf cart and recreational off-highway vehicle ordinance was tabled. There was discussion on implementing a village employee handbook and that process will continue.
There was discussion on an Illinois Rural Water Association apprenticeship program and that might be pursued, but discussion on metal carports was tabled. A ordinance adopting return-to-work for employment with the village was passed, the appropriations ordinance for the fiscal year was passed, and easements were purchased on four pieces of property.
