 Financial Matters Dominated Agenda at Dieterich School Board Meeting

Matters financial dominated Monday night’s agenda for the Dieterich Board of Education.

The Board approved the amended fiscal year budget. Expenditures were reduced by $264,000, allowing the final budget to come in well under the originally projected budget.

Insurance matters were addressed.

Workers compensation insurance was renewed with Gallagher with a 4% increase over last year’s premium. Health insurance was renewed with the Egyptian Trust at an overall increase of 35.9%. Cyber insurance was renewed with Prairie State Insurance Cooperative with a higher limit of $3 million at a cost of $6,843.

The Dieterich board granted support staff members a 5.75% pay increase for the upcoming school year.

The Board accepted the resignations of Jesika Flach as assistant junior high and high school cross country coach, Clayton Campton as head high school baseball coach, and Cole Niebrugge and Dalton Will as volunteer high school baseball coach.

Board members also hired Eric Parker as high school golf head coach, Emily Hall as assistant high school volleyball coach, Chelsea Icenogle as assistant junior high school volleyball coach, Rebecca Repking as junior high and high school assistant cross country coach, and Kaitlyn Boerngen as volunteer junior high volleyball coach.

The Board also approved maternity leaves for Kali Worman and Morgan McClellan.
