Clay County board members Thursday got the word from Animal Control Officer Inanna Weller that she is resigning her position effective June 20 due to family considerations.

Kasey Kemme from U of I Extension discussed the services her agency provides and requested $52,500 for the coming fiscal year, which was granted.

Dr. Joel Hackney, Lisa Cash and Randy Wells were reappointed to the Board of Health for three-year terms.

Highway Engineer Darin Koelm reported on work continuing on the Big Four Road, as well as on Butternut Road and Hickory Hill Road near the Xenia-Iola Road.

There was a question about progress on the county website. The response was that it should be ready soon.
