The word is getting out that children in the Dieterich and Montrose ZIP codes can sign up for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.
Any child from birth to five years old is eligible to receive the books. Parents can sign up their children up at Imagination Library.com. The children will receive a book every month for free.
The goal is to get the entire county involved in the effort.
The project was discussed at a recent Dieterich Village Board meeting. The Board also:
–agreed to sell a lot for Bishop Township for $12,000
–agreed to use remaining grant funds for a sidewalk project to extend the sidewalk to Immaculate Conception Cemetery
–authorized the 2025 Dieterich 4th of July Celebration for Thursday and Friday, July 3-4, and approved the parade for 11am on the 4th
–approved 480 feet of new Dieterich Cemetery concrete runners, monument resets, and all final dirt work and seeding for $29,000 by Adams Memorial
