United Way of Effingham County has announced the 2025 Partner Agencies that will receive funding from that 2025 Campaign (to be paid out in 2026).

Various local non-profit organization with 501c3 certificates that provide health and human services within Effingham County recently applied and presented to the United Way Grant Committee in search of funds from the 2025 Campaign. 19 agencies applied this year and all agencies were awarded a percentage of the $300,000 Campaign Goal set for 2025 by the United Way Board of Directors.

Effingham Imagination Library and CASA for Kids (Effingham County) are two new agencies to receive funding this year who were not funded last year. The 19 local partner agencies that will receive funding from the 2025 Campaign include: Altamont After School Program, Big Brothers Big Sisters Mid-Illinois, Boy Scouts (Effingham County Troops), CASA for Kids, Catholic Charities, CEFS Meals on Wheels, Child Advocacy Center of East Central Illinois, Effingham Child Development Center, Effingham County FISH Human Services, Effingham Imagination Library, El Shaddai Homes, Enduring Freedom Ministries, Family Mental Health Support, Girl Scouts (Effingham County Troops), Senior Services of Effingham County, Sexual Abuse and Family Emergencies (SAFE), Stopping Women Abuse Now (SWAN), Strategic Training and Restoration (STAR) and Unit 40 Mentoring Program.

“Being a partner agency to United Way of Effingham County is more than being an agency we agree to give funds from the campaign to. I feel like I take these agencies on with my whole heart to help them in any way I can. I try to offer ideas on cutting costs of their program, marketing ideas, securing their own donations, program outreach, etc. I take the word partner seriously and I love working with every group to try and help everyone we can and continue to make Effingham County a better place to live and work,” said Emily Hille, United Way of Effingham County Chief Professional Officer.

Fundraising events for the 2025 Campaign kick off this weekend at Tuscan Hills Winery where United Way and Effingham Comedy are hosting a comedy show bringing in a well-known comedian, Brent Terhune. 20% of drink/food sales from the winery that night also go back to United Way! Tickets are still available on United Way social media and website.
