A local man has been sentenced to five years in prison for residential burglary.
28-year-old Dylan Rentfro of Effingham had been arrested in 2024.
In exchange for the sentence for residential burglary, counts of armed violence, possession of a dangerous weapon by a felon and possession of controlled substance were dismissed.
Once out of prison, Rentfro will serve one year of mandatory supervised released.
