Teutopolis village board members voted to approve two Tax Increment Financing district payments.
One payment of $24,926 goes to the Teutopolis school district toward the cost of a bus purchase, with the other payment of $5,000 going to Repking Eye Care. Village Board President David Repking did not vote on the Eye Care payment.
The Board tabled limiting the number of boats and RVs in a resident’s front yard or driveway, but did agree to try to get a lot in Prairie View Subdivision out of a flood zone. There was no action on a TIF application from Ruholl Family Property LLC as the Board requested some additional information.
Board members voted to approve Dust Enterprise’s bid for ditch cleaning on Elm Street, and approved a resolution of funding support for an Oak Street sidewalk project. It was also agreed to pass a new village code that involves an online code that should provide ease of access to the resources. The Board also approved an ordinance that establishes standards for placement of culverts within public rights-of-way.
