Cowden-Herrick school board members seated those elected in April to the Board.
Rita Prosser, Zachary Sarver and Greg Jones were elected to four-year terms and Travis Elliott to fill an unexpired two-year term.
The reconvened Board then chose its officers…Greg Jones as president, Zach Sarver as vice-president, and Rita Prosser as secretary.
The Board approved a Memorandum of Understanding with Maryville University regarding practicum students, and approved an agreement for audit services with Glass and Shuffett. The Board also approved a tentative 2024-2025 amended budget for review with final action at the June meeting.
Board members awarded a bid to Flooring Oasis for high school floor replacement…and purchased Chromebooks and desktop computers from CDW-G.
The Board accepted bus driver resignations from Jessica Bunch as of April 22 and from Jay Huddlestun as of the end of 2025, and employed Tessa Richards as high school volleyball assistant coach. Eli McDowell was hired as summer custodial help, and these individuals were re-hired as coaches for the coming school year: Katy Noble for junior high and high school volleyball, Tessa Richards for high school volleyball assistant coach, Marc Bain as girls high school head basketball coach and Jaelyn Robertson as high school girls assistant basketball coach, Clint Lorton as high school track coach and as junior/senior high school cross country coach, Andrew Nohren and Kristen Nohren as junior high track coaches, Andrew Noble as junior high boys basketball coach, and Lee Roadarmel as 5th and 6th basketball coach.
