Day of Prayer in Teutopolis
June 18
The 51st Annual Day of Prayer for Life will be held on Wednesday, June 18th at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, located at 203 E. Main Street in Teutopolis. Hosted by St. Francis Church in collaboration with Effingham Area Right to Life, this prayerful event is open to all who wish to come together in support of the dignity of every human life.
This day of reflection and intercession serves as a powerful witness for life and a plea for renewed respect for all human life—from conception to natural death. It also serves as a time of reparation for the loss of more than 65 million preborn lives to abortion since Roe v. Wade was decided in 1973.
The Day of Prayer will begin with Mass at 8:00 AM, followed by Eucharistic Exposition and Adoration throughout the day, with various area churches and organizations leading each hour. Benediction will be held at 7:00 PM, followed by a Closing Mass at 7:30 PM, celebrated by Father Michal Rosa, pastor of Sacred Heart Church in Effingham. A reception with light refreshments will follow in St. Clare Hall, adjacent to the church.
All are welcome to attend any portion of the day. Individuals and families of all faith backgrounds are encouraged to come pray and stand united for life.
