Effingham city police have arrested a Teutopolis resident on a series of charges alleging offenses involving a child.
36-year-old Joshua J. Hutson was arrested Sunday on counts of grooming, luring a child to commit a sex offense, or engaging in unlawful sexual conduct with a child.
Hutson remains in custody, but is likely to appear in court today.
