 St, Anthony Boys Golf Teams Finish Third, Fourth At Two Invitationals

BLOOMINGTON– St, Anthony competed at the St. Teresa Boys Golf Invitational on Tuesday.

St. Anthony No. 2 finished in third place out of 11 teams.

Clinton won with a 318 followed by Byron 319, St. Anthony 324, Monticello 324, St. Teresa 329, Pana 337, Bloomington Central Catholic 337, Le Roy 341, Downs (Tri Valley) 354, Windsor 354, Tolono 356, and Mowequa 357.

Briggs Whitley shot the highest score for St. Anthony with 70. Scoring for the Bulldogs were Whitley, Cole Adams 81, Andrew Meyer 83, and Anthony Brummer 90. Non-counting scores were Charlie Hoene 92 and Daniel Ramos 93.

St. Teresa’s Drew Peters was the medalist with a 69.

At Normal

St. Anthony finished fourth at the Raider/Redbird Invite at Weibring Golf Course.

Wheaton Academy A was the winner with 266 followed by Pleasant Valley 282, Normal U- High 291, St. Anthony 292, St. Viator 294, Dunlap 295, Quincy Notre Dame 295, Champaign Central 301, Peoria Notre Dame 306, Metamora 314, Wheaton Academy B 315, Mahomet 318, Rockford- Boylan 320, Marmian Academy 346, Hononegah 346, Assumption 348, Lincoln 348, Macomb 354, Limestone 356, Bloomington 366, Mattoon 366 and East Peoria 389.

St. Anthony was led by Logan Gowin with 66. Also scoring were Liam McAllaster 73, Jameson McAllaster 76, and Trenton Sandschafer 77. Non-counting were James Trupiano 80, and Grayson Bloemer 86.

Medalist was Wheaton Academy’s Nick Ratini with a 64.
