An Altamont man has been sentenced to prison time in Effingham County Circuit Court Monday.
43-year-old Ryne Pierce pleaded guilty to counts of domestic battery and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon. Pierce was sentenced to six years in prison and will serve four years mandatory supervisory release once out of prison, and was sentenced to 10 years in prison and will serve three years mandatory supervisory release once out of prison. A charge of aggravated domestic battery was dismissed as part of the negotiated plea.
Pierce was arrested in February of 2025.
