DIETERICH — Teutopolis High School came calling at Dieterich for a girls softball contest Friday and the Wooden Shoes went home with a 12-0 victory in six innings.
Jersey Gaddis tossed a two-hitter through the six innings, giving up four walks and striking out five.
Meanwhile, Teutopolis banged out 10 hits in the contest that included two home runs. Gaddis helped her own cause with a home run and three RBI. Malea Helmink had a single, double and four RBI. Chloe Hoene added a double and two RBI while Lauren Shue finished with a single and double, Kera Hartke two singles, Mallory Bloemer a single and an RBI and Kylie Borries an RBI.
Dieterich had two hits, both by Callie Faller with two singles.

At Altamont
Central A&M came calling at Altamont and went home with a 10-3 victory Friday.
Central A&M moved into a 1-0 lead in the first inning. Things were quiet through the next two before Altamont brought home three runs for the 3-1 lead.
However, Central A&M tallied five in the fifth and four more runs, two in the sixth and two in the seventh for the victory.
Altamont finished with seven hits led by Adilyn Schnarre with a single, double and an RBI, Becca Swank with a double, Avery Fleeharty with two singles and an RBI and Cecilia Pearcy with two singles.

South Central played host to Okaw Valley and Lauren Johnson tossed a no-hitter as the Cougars won 17-0 in four innings Friday.
Johnson did not give up a hit, while striking out nine and walking only two.
The Cougars moved into a 6-0 opening inning lead then had a nine-run second and a two-run third..
South Central finished with 12 hits and was aided by four Okaw Valley errors.
Addy Ruholl finished with a single, double and three RBI while Kinlee Thompson had a single, triple and two RBI. Emmie Ruholl tallied three singles and three RBI. Lauren Johnson and Zoey Feldhake had a single and two RBI each and Aubrey Sullens had a single and an RBI.

Newton High School took a 2-0 opening inning lead on Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City and went on for an 11-0 win in five innings via the 10-run rule Friday.
The Eagles finished with 11 hits in the contest. Allie Hermann led the way with a single, double, triple and four RBI. Audrie Reich had a double and a solo home run and Jacee Dhom added two doubles. Gabby Flowers finished with a single and an RBI.
Emma Inyart picked up the victory going four innings, allowing no runs on three hits, no walks and striking out seven.
CHBC had three hits led by Ryleigh Sarver, Brylie Prater and Madison Dover with a single each.

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg whipped out to a 7-1 opening inning lead and finished this contest in the fifth by a 14-1 tally Friday over Sullivan.
The Hatchets ended with 13 hits. Kalia Friese had a home run and drove in three runs while Makenna Corrie had three singles and four RBI and Clarissa Johnson finished with three singles and two RBI. Mya Friese had two doubles and an RBI, Kendra Hayes two singles and an RBI and Kinsley Dunaway a single and an RBI.
Hayes went two innings on the mound for the win. She gave up one run on three hits, did not allow a walk and struck out one. K. Friese finished the final three innings, giving up three hits while striking out three.

In a Saturday doubleheader, Dieterich handed Arcola two losses.
Dieterich was a 15-3 winner behind a 12-hit attack. Arcola finished with nine errors.
The Maroons moved into a 3-1 opening inning lead then pushed that to 8-3 in the third and tacked on two more in the fifth and ended the game with five in the sixth.
Kinley Will had a big game at the plate with two singles, two triples and three RBI. Aliza Garner added two doubles and an RBI. Lydia Wohltman had two singles and an RBI. Callie Faller and Kensi Stortzum finished with a single and two RBI each and Addi Huber and Lexie Funneman had a single and an RBI each.
Allison Boerngen went one inning on the mound, giving up one run and two hits. Garner came on to finish, going five innings, giving up two runs on three hits and striking out four.
In the other contest, Dieterich won 14-2 behind nine hits and four Arcola errors.
The Maroons moved into another 3-1 opening inning lead. Both teams scored a run in the third before Dieterich put the contest away with a seven-run fifth and a three-run sixth.
Garner had two singles, a double and four RBI while Will had a triple, Huber a double and two RBI, Ca. Faller a single and three RBI and Wohltman and Funneman a single and an RBI each.
Boerngen went the distance on the mound, giving up two runs on four hits. She struck out eight and walked two for the win.
