TEUTOPOLIS — This game was over in the first quarter.
Teutopolis ran out to a 24-3 lead on Robinson and finished with a 78-26 boys high school basketball victory Saturday.
The Wooden Shoes’ Landyn Buening nailed three from beyond the arc for nine points while six other players scored in the quarter.
The Shoes had a 20-5 second period to lead 44-8 at halftime. Landyn Thoele hit three baskets for six points and Jake Probst and Kendal Mette put in a three-pointer each.
Gavin Addis went on a run from three-point range in the third quarter with three for nine points and the Shoes led 61-22.
T-town had only one player in double figures but 13 total players scored in the game.
The Shoes connected on 11 three-pointers. L. Buening and Gavin Addis hit three each.
Addis finished with 15 points on six field goals, three from beyond the arc. Isaac McWhorter, Joey Probst and L. Buening had nine each while Landyn Thoele scored eight. McWhorter had six rebounds and two assists. Jason Kreke had eight rebounds and two assiss. Joey Probst and Addis had four assists each.
T-town won the junior varsity contest, 62-29. The Shoes were led by Teagan Pals with 15 points and Andy Lustig with 11.

At Toledo
Cumberland played host to Newton and claimed a 54-50 victory Saturday.
The Pirates edged out to a 10-8 opening quarter lead as Chase Stewart hit two three-pointers. The Pirates led 24-20 at halftime. Stewart continued on his three-point hitting streak with four in the quarter and put in two of three at the line for all 14 of his team’s point.
Newton came back with an 18-16 third period. Eli Wolf hit two three-pointers and Drake Wolf put in two regular baskets.
But Cumberland came back with a slight 14-12 final quarter for the four-point victory.
Stewart finished with six three-pointers and two of three at the line for 20 points. Cameron Roedl added 10.
Newton was led by D. Wolf with 13 points on six field goals and a free throw and Blaine Bergbower with 10.
Cumberland claimed the junior varsity win, 54-46. The Pirates were led by Reed Miller with 21, A. Dittamore with 18 and J. Carr with 10.
Newton was led by Hermann with 10.

At Patoka
North Clay added another victory to the win column by downing Patoka 71-56 Saturday.
The Cardinals trailed Patoka 20-11 after the opening quarter. Kade Atwood tallied five points to lead North Clay.
But the Cardinals got untracked with a 22-9 second period as Cody Zimdars went to work, hitting four baskets for eight points while Lucas Griffey put in two baskets and two free throws for eight and Mason Byers added five.
Zimdars continued on in the third quarter, hitting five baskets for 10 points while Kade Atwood put in a three-pointer and the lead went to 54-35.
North Clay was led by four players in double figures. Zimdars finished with 11 field goals and two of two at the line for 24 points while Byers added 15, Atwood 13 and Griffey 12.
The Cardinals are now 18-7 on the season.
In junior varsity action, North Clay was a 49-41 winner. Colin Schnepper led the Cardinals with 20 points while Cooper Lewis chipped in with 10.
