Effingham County Board members sent a schedule for their newly-named Administrative Committee to the full board at Monday’s meeting. The Administrative Committee has been known as the Legislative Committee.
Committee members also sent along four updates to the county employee handbook, but voted to table the naming of board members to three committees. Board Chairman Josh Douthit suggested that naming people to the committees that involve insurance and other entities would obligate members to those groups at the expense of other committees. The issue will be revisited at a future meeting.
The committee also sent to the full board appointments to boards; Christopher Probst and Timothy Jansen to the Island Grove Drainage District, and Deb Murbarger to another term on the Ambulance Oversight Committee.
