 St. Anthony Wins Belleville Althoff Crusader Golf Classic, T-town Beats Sullivan

BELLEVILLE — Effingham St. Anthony put together another boys golf win, this one at the Belleville Althoff Crusader Classic Monday.

The Bulldogs tallied a 292 followed by O’Fallon 298, Mascoutah 299, Edwardsville 301, Breese Mater Dei 302, Collinsville 307, Belleville Althoff Catholic 307, Alton 313, Alton Marquette 315, Father McGivney 317, Belleville West 316, O’Fallon No. 2 317, Breese Central 324, Freeburg 329, Gibault Catholic 331, Granite City 338 and Metro East Lutheran 340.

Belleville Althoff’s Carson Tribout was medalist for the event with a 68.

St. Anthony’s Maddux Clark finished fourth with a 36-35 — 71. Logan Gowin took seventh with a 38-34 — 72. Also scoring were Jameson McAllaster with a 36-38 — 74 and Alec Hakman with a 40-35 — 75. Also scoring a 75 was Drake Brown with a 39-36 — 75 and Briggs Whitley had a 40-36 — 76.

 

At Teutopolis

Teutopolis ended the season with a successful Senior Night as the Wooden Shoes tallied a 149-191 victory over  Sullivan Monday.

Co-medalists were Coen Pennington and Isaac Weber with a 33 each. Matthew Habing added a 40 and Kade Pennington a 43. Landy Thoele and Owen Kremer finished with a 44 each.

Individuals were Eli Weber 40, Jack Weber 41, Lane Ohnesorge 44, Drew Kirby 47 and Karson Zerrusen 48.

The Shoes finish their dual season with a 12-1 record.

“Congrats and thank you to seniors Coen Pennington and Landyn Thoele,” said T-town Coach Mike Wilson.

Next up for the Shoes is the Hamilton County Regional Wednesday at Green Hills Country Club in Mount Vernon.

 

At Effingham

Effingham St. Anthony’s junior varsity squad took a 152-174 victory over Tuscola at the Effingham Country Club Monday.

Liam McAllaster was medalist with a 34. Also scoring were James Trupiano 37, Trenton Sandschafer 38 and Andrew Meyer 43. Also competing were Daniel Ramos 46 and Cole Adams 47.

Scoring for Tuscola were Nixon Steinert 39, Lane McCall 43, Evan Englehart 44 and Lawson Kurtz 48. Non-counting scores were Ryker Gough 50 and Brix Smith 53.
