At Altamont
Despite being outhit 5-2, Altamont took advantage of 13 walks enroute to a 10-2 win over Dieterich Tuesday.
The Maroons got on the board in the top of the first inning after Andrew Hall reached on a one-out single and later came around to score on a triple from Jackson Icenogle.
After a scoreless bottom of the first and top of the second, the Indians took the lead when Brayden Elam scored on a wild pitch to tie the game. Altamont moved into the lead on a single from Blake Berg and two more runs came across the board off an error to make it a 4-1 advantage.
The Indians added three more runs in the bottom of the third inning with multiple bases-loaded walks giving them a 7-1 advantage.
Dieterich attempted to chip away at the deficit in the top of the fifth. After a single, a walk and a bunt, Bryce Bohnhoff hit a sacrifice fly to make it 7-2.
However, Altamont put the game away in the sixth. Parker Bell hit a bases-loaded double and the Indians won 10-2.
Altamont improved to 1-0 on the season and 1-0 in National Trail Conference play. The Indians will be on the road Friday at Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg.
Dieterich falls to 1-2 on the season and 0-1 in NTC play. The Maroons return to action Friday hosting Neoga.

At Kinmundy
South Central moved into a 3-1 lead after two innings, but Brownstown/St. Elmo came back with a three-run third and that was the game as the Bombers claimed a 4-3 victory.
Dodge Willms led the charge with two doubles. He also was the offense on the mound, picking up the win. He went seven innings, allowing three runs on five hits, three walks while striking out two.
Brownstown/St. Elmo is now 2-1 on the season, 1-0 in the National Trail Conference. The Bombers will be back in action Thursday at Wayne City.

North Clay went on a run, taking a 9-0 lead in the second inning and never looked back in a game that ended in the fifth via the 1o-run rule, 12-2 over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Tuesday.
North Clay banged out 15 hits while Sidwell held the Bobcats to only three.
CHBC was led by Clive Schlanser with a single and an RBI and Hardimon and Isaac Wells with a single each.
