ALTAMONT -- Altamont High School picked up a victory over Ramsey in volleyball competition Monday. The Indians won the opener 25-11 but fell in the second game 25-23. Altamont then claimed the match 25-8.

White led the Indians in kills with eight. M. Ohnesorge had 14 assists and six aces. Ledbetter led in digs with seven. The Indians are now 5-12 on the season.

Altamont also nabbed the junior varsity match 25-17, 25-19. The Indians are back in action tonight at St. Anthony.

At Louisville

Teutopolis came calling and handed North Clay (Louisville) a loss in three games, 26-24, 18-25, 25-14.

T-town was led by Natalie Summers and Julie Wente with three aces each. Summers had seven kills. Katelyn Ruholl led in assists with 15. Lucy Niemerg, Wente and Morgan Breer had eight digs each.

In the junior varsity match, North Clay won 25-23, 11-25, 25-15. Teutopolis picked up the freshman/sophomore contest 27-25, 14-25, 18-16. T-town is back in action today against Dieterich.

Newton beat Salem in straight sets, 25-17, 25-22 during the Volley For The Cure Match Monday.

Andrea Cartright led the Eagles in kills with 10. Gabby Zerrusen had 14 assists. Morgan Swingler led in digs with seven. Keidrah Hardiek had three aces.

Cumberland picked up a victory over Dieterich in varsity play, 26-24, 26-24. Dieterich drops to 6-9. The Pirates were led by Kamisha Holsapple with 19 assists, Jordan Plummer with 10 digs, Olivia Titus with four aces and Kassidy Hunt with nine kills.

Dieterich was led by Tori Hardiek with nine points, Candace Niemerg with 11 digs, Mallorie Vahling with seven kills, Shelby Wendling with 12 assists and Madison Boerngen with three blocks.

Dieterich won the junior varsity match 25-16, 25-22 to improve to 4-8.

Shelbyville defeated Neoga in two games, 25-23, 25-17. Brooke Eisenbarth had 14 kills for the Rams and two aces. Taylor Wilcox and Alex Johnston had three blocks each.

Shelbyville improves to 7-9.

At St. Elmo

St. Elmo claimed a 25-9, 25-4 victory over Patoka in Egyptian-Illini Conference play.

The Eagles were led by S. Feezel in kills with eight and H. Seibert in aces with 10. The Eagles improve to 4-1 in the conference, 14-6 overall.

At Brownstown

Brownstown handed Odin a loss 25-18, 25-16. Danie Austin and Shenisa Dunn had five kills each for the winners. Chelsey Lange had five aces and five digs. Katie Kroll had five assists and Brittany Kistler had five digs.

The Bombers improve to 5-10.

At Cowden

South Central claimed a 25-18, 25-13 win over Cowden-Herrick. Lincoln Brasel led the Cougars in kills with seven. Lexi Schafer had nine digs and Maria Brasel had 12 assists. The Cougars improve to 16-5.

Micah Jones had five kills and and three blocks for Cowden-Herrick. Autumn Riley had four digs. The Hornets drop to 6-5.

South Central won the junior varsity match 25-21, 23-25, 15-18.
