Altamont Wins Over Stew-Stras; BCCH Downs Ramsey

Altamont won twice in girls junior high school basketball over Stewardson-Strasburg Friday.

Altamont won the 7th grade game 26-4.  Tabbert scored all four points for Stew-Stras.  For Altamont, McHugh led the way with 13 points while Wolff scored four, Stone three, and Goeckner and Mette two apiece.  Stew-Stras is 1-2.

Altamont won the 8th grade game 48-6.  For Stew-Stras, Lesko scored three points, Everett two and Rentfro one point.  For Altamont, Goldstein scored 13, Burns 9, Biggs 8, Duckwitz 6, Paquette and Shelton 4 each, and Wolff and Goeckner 2 apiece.  Stew-Stras is 0-3.

Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick won over Ramsey twice on Friday.

BCCH won the 7th grade game 34-5.  Taylor Oldham and Elizabeth Day each scored 10 points to lead the way; Erica Lorton 6; Tabitha Endsley 4; Cecilia Miller 2; and Cortney Danekas and Amanda Smith 1 each.  BCCH is 1-2 on the season.

BCCH won the 8th grade contest 30-17.  Skylar Morrison and Emma Wehrle each scored eight points; Sarah Kirchhofer, Hope Barnes and Taylor Oldham each scored four; and Alyssa Miller scored two points.  BCCH is now 1-2 on the season.
