The Baltimore Orioles have set a major league record by allowing their 259th home run this season Thursday night. The Orioles broke a tie with the 2016 Cincinnati Reds and have another 34 games to further obliterate the record.

Rays' Lowe suffers Quad Injury

The Tampa Bay Rays say second baseman Brandon Lowe suffered a quad injury during a rehabilitation assignment and will likely miss the rest of the season. Lowe was hurt on Wednesday while playing for Triple-A Durham.

Patterson Has Tougher Time

After striking out the side in his professional debut, Oakland A’s speed-pitch radar booth phenom Nathan Patterson had a tougher time in his second outing. Patterson gave up three runs in two innings of work for the A's Arizona League team and took the loss in his first career decision.
