Scholarship Opportunity For Effingham County Students

The Effingham Art Guild is searching for Effingham County students who are working toward a degree in visual arts. Each year the guild awards scholarships to Effingham County youth who are pursuing a degree in art. Applications for the Jacky Anderson Scholarship are now available.

There will be two $1,000 scholarships available for students to apply toward this spring's or next fall's semester tuition at the college where they are enrolled. Scholarship Applications are available at Lake Land College office, Kluthe Center in Effingham, the art teachers at local high schools, Lake Land art teacher Becky Marcussen at 217-343-2827 or Art Guild Scholarship Chairwoman Carolyn Lambert at 217-868-2820.

Applications must be completed and in the hands of the Effingham Art Guild, P.O. Box 111, Effingham, IL by Wednesday, October 31, 2012.
