Eastern Illinois University’s School of Continuing Education has scheduled events for National
Nontraditional Student Week happening November 4-8.

National Nontraditional Student Week is a nationwide week of appreciation for nontraditional
students and their dedication to education. Nontraditional students can be adult students,
commuter students, and transfer students. Typically nontraditional students are over 25 years
of age and have work, family and other life responsibilities they are juggling while attending
school. At the beginning of November each year, campuses across the country show their
dedication to helping nontraditional students become more visible within the community of
university and college life.

All events offered are free to nontraditional students, their friends and family, and are happening throughout the week. Some of the events include a family bowling night at the EIU Bowling Alley, a pizza party for OASIS members (Organization of Adult Students Informative and Supportive), Making Your Job Search More Successful webinar, as well as a recognition
ceremony for nontraditional students.
