Two seventh-grade volleyball regionals were contested Tuesday evening.

In the Class 7-2A St. Elmo/Brownstown Regional, the host squad fell to South Central. South Central won the opening set 25-17 before St. Elmo/Brownstown claimed the second set 25-22. South Central then won the match 25-23.

In the second contest, Ramsey was a winner over Nokomis. Ramsey opened with a 25-11 victory. Nokomis then took the second set 25-23. Ramsey won the match 25-23.

South Central and Ramsey will meet for the regional championship Thursday at 6 p.m.

In the Class 7-2A Oblong Regional, Oblong won the championship by defeating Edwards County (Albion). Oblong won the opener 26-24. Edwards County took the second set 27-25. Oblong then won the match 25-19.

Oblong will advance to the Effingham St. Anthony Sectional Monday, March 4 at 6 p.m. to meet the winner of the St. Elmo/Brownstown Regional, either South Central or Ramsey.
