NEWTON -- Jasper County claimed two victories over Marshall in junior high volleyball action Monday evening.

Jasper County won the seventh-grade match, 25-3, 25-17 to improve to 3-1 on the season.

S. Meinhart led the winners in aces with nine. L. Kuhn had two kills and J. Stanley had two assists

In the eighth-grade contest, Jasper County was a 26-24, 25-17 winner and remains unbeaten at 4-0.

T. Jones led in aces with seven and kills with five. L. Ghast had five assists and one block. E.Brooks and G. Flowers had one dig each.

At Newton

Seventh-Grade Match

Jasper County -- Meinhart, 9 aces; Copper, 4 aces; Stanley, 2 aces, 1 kill, 2 assists; Thomann, 2 aces, 1 kill; Gentry, 2 aces; Wagner, 1 ace, 1 assist; Kuhl, 2 kills

Eighth-Grade Match

Jasper County -- Jones, 7 aces, 5 kills; Ghast, 3 aces, 2 kills, 5 assists, 1 block; Brooks, 2 aces, 2 kills, 1 dig; Flowers, 2 aces, 1 dig; Schackmann, 2 aces, 1 kill; Reich, 2 assists; Inyart, 1 assist

 

At Louisville

St. Elmo/Brownstown came calling and captured victories over North Clay (Louisville) Monday evening.

SEB won the sixth-grade match, 25-18, 25-15.

SEB won the seventh-grade match, 25-12, 26-24 and claimed the eighth-grade contest, 25-19,12-25, 25-20.
