Denning, Keller Nab First Place Finishes In Girls Track Meet, Roedl In Boys Track

Isabella Keller and Aubrey Denning captured first place finishes for Effingham St. Anthony at the Illinois Top Times Indoor Track Championships at Illinois Wesleyan University Saturday.

Keller claimed the 3200 with a new school and meet record time of 10:10.03 minutes. Keller finished second in the 1600  in 4:54.84.

Denning won the 800 with a personal record of 2:20.08 minutes. Denning got a second medal with a personal record time of 1:01.73 in the 400. She finished eighth.

St. Anthony's Allison Geen was fourth in the pole vault with a season best height of 3.42 meters.

Teutopolis' Kaitlyn Vahling finished second in the 60 dash in 7.78 seconds and was third in the 200 in 26.80.

The Wooden Shoes' Ella Niehls was fourth in the tirple jump at 10.45 meters.

In the boys meet, Altamont's Ben Roedl won the long jump at 6.58 meters and was second in the high jump at 1.89. He also finished fifth in the triple jump at 13.01.

Cumberland's Reid Carlen finished fourth in 7.10 seconds.

Newton's Luke Weber captured fifth in the 800 in 2:03.45 minutes.
