CHBC, Cumberland, Neoga Compete at ALAH Track Invite

ARTHUR -- Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City, Cumberland and Neoga competed in the Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond boys and girls track invitationals Saturday.

In the girls meet, Tuscola was the team champion with 133 points followed by Cerro Gordo 88, Casey-Westfield 66, Marshall 63, Decatur St. Teresa 46, Macon Meridian 45.5, Arcola 44, Warrensburg-Latham 41.5,  Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond 35, Niantic Sangamon Valley 32, Bethany Okaw Valley 24, Neoga 14, Cumberland 13, Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City 8, Hume Shiloh 6 and Villa Grove 4.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City's Kyleigh Wallace captured a third place finish in the discus with a throw of 30.19 meters.

Cumberland's Katelyn Shoemaker took third in the long jump at 4.62 meters.

In the boys meet, Decatur St. Teresa won with 147 points followed by Tuscola 111, Sullivan 66, Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond 55, Casey-Westfield 45, Marshall 33, Villa Grove 32, Arcola 31, Warrensburg-Latham 29, Cerro Gordo 29, Moweaqua Central A&M 21, Cumberland 21, Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City 14.5, Hume Shiloh 9, Niantic Sangamon Valley 8, Neoga 45, Bethany Okaw Valley 4 and Macon Meridian 3.

Cumberland's Reid Carlen claimed third place in the 100 in 11.74 seconds and finished fifth in the long jump at 5.41 meters. Logan Gerhardt finished fifth in the 300 hurdles in 48.11. Kaleb Bierman finished fifth in the high jump at 1.68 meters.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City's Trenten Monet was third in the discus with a throw of 42.12 meters and fourth in the shot at 12.95 meters.

Neoga's Addison Mast finished fifth in the 400 meters with a tme of 1:06.06 minutes.
