Effingham HIgh School's Preston Siner returns a volley for the Hearts.

SALEM -- Effingham High School claimed two points in a match against Salem as the Wildcats finished with a 7-2 tennis victory Friday.

 

Thad Dillow was a winner for the Hearts at the No. 1 singles spot. Dillow won 6-1, 6-0.

The other point for EHS came at the No. 1 doubles where Dillow combined with Blayne Pals for an 8-1 victory.

No. 1 -- Thad Dillow (E) defeated Daniyal Islam (S), 6-1, 6-0

No. 2 -- John Tran (S) defeated Blayne Pals (E), 6-4, 4-6, 10-5

No. 3 -- Logan Bandy (S) defeated Tyler Nohren (E), 6-2, 6-2

No. 4 -- Andrew Tate (S) defeated Preston Siner (E), 6-0, 6-3

No. 5 -- Brendan Phillips (S) defeated Evan Pryor (E), 6-1, 6-0

No. 6 -- Treyton Simcox (S) defeated Ross Schaefer (E), 6-2, 6-0

Doubles

No. 1 -- Dillow-Pals (E) defeated Islam-Tran (S), 8-1

No. 2 -- Bandy-Tate (S) defeated Nohren-Siner (E), 8-4

No. 3 -- Phillips-Simcox (S) defeated Pryor-Schaefer (E), 8-3
