St. Anthony Hands Charleston Tennis Loss

Effingham St. Anthony tallied an 8-1 victory over Charleston in high school tennis competition Tuesday.

The Bulldogs swept through doubles action by pulling out two tough matches. Manaye Mossman and Aiden Tegeler combined to win at No. 1 in a match that went 6-7 (5), 7-6 (6), 11-9.

Isaac McDonald and Roberto Valdes also claimed a long contest that went 7-6 (4), 6-7 (4), 10-4.

Adam Rudibaugh and Evan Mossman had an easy time at No. 2, 6-0, 6-1.

In singles play, M. Mossman won, 6-2, 7-5 at No. 1. No. 2 went to Tegeler, 8-7 (5).

Rudibaugh picked up his win, 6-0, 6-0 followed by doubles partner E. Mossman who won 6-2, 6-1.

McDonald claimed his victory at No. 5, 6-1, 6-2. Brandon Jones finished out the singles victories, 6-1, 6-1.

No. 1 -- M. Mossman-Tegeler (SA) defeated DiNash-Pschirrer (C), 6-7 (5), 7-6 (6), 11-9

No. 2 -- Rudibaugh-E. Mossman (SA) defeated Ashton Fifield-Sam Kaurin (C), 6-0, 6-1

No. 3 -- McDonald-Valdes (SA) defeated Bryant-Jones (C), 7-6 (4), 6-7 (4), 10-4
