Flora Downs Effingham to Close Hearts' Regular Season

Flora defeated Effingham 6-0 to conclude the Hearts' regular season. 

The doubles matches were not played due to rain.

#1 singles--Caroline Kull lost 1-6, 3-6

#2 singles--Lydia Kull lost 2-6, 0-6

#3 singles--Riley Seachrist lost 3-6, 7-5, 2-10

#4 singles--Eden Wendling lost 3-6, 0-6

#5 singles--Gracie Kroenlein lost 4-6, 6-7 (5)

#6 singles--Aila Woomer lost 4-6, 7-5, 8-10

Hearts Coach Erik Williamson said, "The singles matches for Seachrist, Kroenlein and Woomer all went to tiebreakers, but all came up a couple points short for the shutout. A few key points and it is tied up 3-3 and Flora is right there with some of the best teams around. I'm excited to see how far they've come with so many young players."

The Hearts head into sectional play on Friday.
