Mattoon Hands St. Anthony Defeat in Tennis

Effingham St. Anthony High School hosted Mattoon in tennis action and fell to the Green Wave, 7-0 Thursday.

Mattoon swept through singles but had a tough go in the No. 2 and No. 3 singles spot. Augustus Heal fell in a 6-3, 3-6, 10-2 contest while Michael Kaldas played his opponent and dropped a 4-6, 6-2, 10-5 contest.

Kaldas and Nick Goeckner played their opponents close, losing 4-6, 6-4, 10-2 in doubles.
