STRASBURG -- Dieterich came calling and edged Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg 4-3 in junior high softball action Tuesday.

Windsor/Stew-Stras held a 1-0 lead in the first inning but Dieterich tied in the top of the second. The Trojans came back to move ahead with a run in the bottom of the frame. Dieterich then scored two in the third and one in the fourth to lead 4-2.

Windsor/Stew-Stras rallied in the bottom of the seventh with a run only to fall short.

Dieterich had eight hits led by Aliza Garner with three singles and an RBI and Claire Faller with a single and double.

Allison Boerngen picked up the win on the mound, going seven innings, allowing three runs on five hits, five walks while striking out nine.

Windsor/Stew-Strasburg was led in hitting by Kinsley Dunaway with a single, double and an RBI and Edie Wittenberg with two singles. The Trojans fell to 8-4 on the season.

At Casey

Casey-Westfield put together a 12-hit attack and blanked Neoga by a 12-0 tally in four innings Tuesday.

Casey-Westfield edged ahead 2-0 in the first then had a 10-run fourth.

Gilbert threw a no-hitter for the winners.

Neoga dropped to 7-3 on the season.
