DIETERICH -- Dieterich Junior HIgh School blanked North Clay (Louisville) by a 10-0 count in five softball innings Monday.

Allison Boerngen threw a one-hitter with 10 strikeouts and no walks.

Boerngen also was on offensively with a double and two RBI. Aliza Garner added a single and two RBI while Kensi Stortzum had a single and an RBI and Payton Higgins added an RBI.

North Clay had one hit by Thompson and committed five errors. The squad drops to 1-3 in the National Trail Conference and 3-4 overall.

At Strasburg

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg blanked Sigel St. Michael by a 10-0 count in five innings Monday.

The Trojans took a 3-0 opening inning lead then added on two in the second, one in the third and four in the fourth.

Windsor/Stew-Stras had five hits led by Kinsley Dunaway with a triple and an RBI, Karly Wetherell with a double and two RBI, Kalia Friese with a double and an RBI, Edie Wittenberg with a triple and Kierra Mueller with a single and an RBI.

Wittenberg went three innings, allowing two hits while striking out four. K. Friese went the final two innings, striking out five.

Sigel St. Michael had two hits, singles by R. Worman and B. Niebrugge.

At Strasburg

South Central had only three hits but drew 12 walks in a 14-0 win over Altamont Monday.

Maddie Peddicord had a triple and three RBI while Addy Ruholl had three RBI. Aubrey Sullens added a single and two RBI and Emilie Ruholl had a single and an RBI.

Peddicord picked up the win on the mound, allowing one hit while striking out 10 and not walking a batter.

Ada Roberts had the lone hit for Altamont with a single.

Vandalia came calling and downed Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City, 15-3 in six innings Monday.

B Sefton went 3.1 innings allowing one hit, four walks and striking out five. K. Sefton came on to finish out with 2.2 innings allowing two walks and striking out four.

Vandalia had three runs innings in the first, second and third, then tacked on two in the fifth and four in the sixth to end the game.

Jayla Arnett had the lone hit for CHBC with a double and two RBI. Harper Lilly added an RBI.

At Beecher City

Casey-Westfield held Cumberland to one run while taking an 11-1 victory in six innings Monday.

Casey-Westfield's G. Gilbert went five innings allowing one run on three hits, four walks and striking out six. E. Miller came on to finish the final inning and had one strikeout.

Roberts led the hitting attack with three singles and an RBI while Frye had a double and two RBI and Gilbert two singles and two RBI.

Cumberland's hits were by Avery Millsap with a double and Ava Long and Brittlin Murphy with a single each. Raegan Jones had the lone RBI.
