Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg and Jasper County advanced in softball regional competition Saturday.

Windsor/Stew-Stras defeated Findlay Okaw Valley 9-1 to advance to the championship game of the Class 1A Paris Crestwood Regional.

In the opening game, Paris Crestwood beat Oblong 9-5. Paris Crestwood now advances to face Windsor/Stew-Stras at 4:30 p.m. today.

In the Class 2A Jasper County Regional, Jasper County advanced to the title contest in its own regional.

Jasper County blanked Paris Mayo 3-0. In the opening game, Charleston downed Cumberland 13-3.

Jasper County now meets Charleston at 4:30 p.m. today for the regional championship.

Two other regionals were postponed from Saturday to today. The Class 1A Altamont Regional will have two games contested. Top-seeded Mulberry Grove will face Ramsey at 4 p.m. followed by Altamont taking on St. Elmo/Brownstown at 6 p.m. The championship game is scheduled for Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.

In the Class 2A Effingham Regional, the Mustangs, seeded fourth, will take on top-seeded Mount Zion at 4 p.m. followed by third-seeded Teutopolis facing No. 2 Mattoon at 5:30 p.m. The winners advance to the championship game Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
