Maple Leafs Shut Out Lightning, Blues Win

The first-round of the NHL playoffs kicked off Monday night with four games, including one in which the Toronto Maple Leafs shut out the two-time defending Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning 5-0 in their opening game.

Toronto’s Auston Matthews, the NHL player with the most goals during the regular season with 60, scored two goals and had an assist.
