The 24-year-old brother of Olympic gold medal-winning U.S. gymnast Simone Biles was acquitted of murder, manslaughter and assault charges in a retrial Tuesday in Ohio after a mistrial last month.

Tevin Biles-Thomas was arrested in 2019 in connection with a New Year’s Eve shooting in Cleveland. According to authorities, a group of uninvited guests walked into a home and a fight began that led to the shooting in which three people were killed. Police said Biles-Thomas was the shooter, but he has maintained his innocence.
