Highlights from Past Week's Disc Golf Action

Several local disc golfers competed this past weekend at the NADGT Exclusive's 2nd Annual Foundation Fling in Centralia.

Cole Mintert of Mattoon tied for the top spot in the Intermediate Division, shooting a 66 in his first round, then trimming that by 11 shots for a 55 in his second round and a total of  -4 121. Mintert then lost in a playoff.

In the Recreational Division, Jonathan Hill, a frequent participant in the Effingham EDGE Sunday afternoon league, finished third with a -2 112 score. Two other local players, Ben Keller and Paul Stice, each shot 114, Keller with rounds of 59 and 55 and Stice with rounds of 58 and 56. Keller and Stice were part of a three-way tie for sixth place at even par.
