The International Olympic Committee said Thursday that Covid-19 vaccine developers Pfizer and BioNTech will donate doses for athletes and officials readying for the Tokyo Olympics this summer.

Delivery of the vaccines will begin this month to give the recipients time to be fully vaccinated, meaning to be past two weeks after the second shot, before arriving in Tokyo for the start of the games on July 23.
