Penguins' Carter Scores Four Goals

Pittsburgh’s Jerr Carter scored a career-high four goals in the Penguins’ 8-4 win over the Buffalo Sabres Thursday night.

The 36-year-old scored three of the goals in the first 25 minutes, and the  final one in the third period. This is the first time a Penguins player has had four goals in a game since 2013.

 

Rangers Fined $250,000 By NHL

The New York Rangers were fined $250,000 by the NHL Thursday -- believed to be the largest publicly announced fine of its kind in NHL history -- for their criticism of league head of player safety George Parros.

hey were upset that the Washington Capitals’ Tom Wilson wasn’t suspended for punching Pavel Buchnevich in the back of the head while he was facedown on the ice, and throwing Artemi Panarin to the ice on Monday.

They accused Parros of “dereliction of duty” and called him “unfit to continue in his current role.”
