NASCAR has brought in more than 23,000 cubic yards of dirt to Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee for its first Cup Series race on dirt since 1970, which will take place Sunday.

Steve Swift, senior VP of operations and development at Speedway Motorsports, went to 18 different dirt sites to find the perfect red Tennessee clay. It remains to be seen if the race will take place Sunday, though, since the forecast calls for 100 percent rain.
