Disc Golfers Compete in Kentucky, Indiana Over Weekend

Effingham area disc golfers competed in Kentucky and Indiana over the past weekend.

Mark Jones and Joseph Garland took part in the Brandenburg Am Championship Saturday in Brandenburg, Kentucky. The event was made up of an 18-hole first round and a 27-hole second round.

Jones and Garland competed in the Advanced Division. Of the 30 players in the division, Jones tied for sixth at -11, while Garland tied for eighth at -10 in a tightly-bunched field. The winning score was -16. 

Also on Saturday, Hadley Majors and Ben Keller competed in the Cabin Fever Reliever in Bloomington, Indiana. 

Majors tied for fourth in the Intermediate Division at +1, while Keller tied for seventh in the Recreational Division at +12.

Then on Sunday, Majors, Keller, Cole Mintert and Ben Ruholl took part in the Walnut Cracker event in Greencastle, Indiana.

In the Intermediate Division, Majors finished second at -11, while Mintert finished fourth at -7. 

In the Recreational Division, Keller finished fourth at -4, while Ruholl tied for fifth at even.
