Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt, an eight-time Olympic gold medalist who holds the record as the world's fastest man, has tested positive for the coronavirus.

Jamaica's health ministry confirmed the news late Monday. The 34-year-old Bolt said in a social media post earlier in the day that he was self-isolating while waiting for the results, but that he didn't have any symptoms. Bolt, who holds world records in the 100-meter and 200-meter distances, retired from competition in 2017.
