Vancouver put the hurt on the St. Louis Blues in National Hockey League playoff action Wednesday.

Bo Horvat scored twice as the Canucks tallied a 5-2 victory in Game One of the Western Conference First Round at Rogers Place in Edmonton.

Elias Pettersson, Troy Stecher and J.T. Miller also scored goals. Jacob Markstrom had 29 saves.

Goals for the Blues came from David Perron and Jaden Schwartz. Jordan Binnington allowed five goals on 22 shots. St. Louis won the Stanley Cup last season but are struggling and is only the No. 4 seed in the West.
