American Christian Coleman, the world’s fastest man as the reigning 100-meter world champion, has been given a provisional suspension for failing to be home when drug testers arrived.

Coleman said it was just miscommunication.

Elite athletes have to fill out a “whereabouts form” to make it possible to carry out surprise testing outside of competition. A violation means an athlete either didn’t fill out forms or they weren’t where they said they would be when testers arrived.
