The Preakness, the second race in horse racing's Triple Crown, has been rescheduled for October 3. The announcement was made Saturday, the day when the Preakness was supposed to have been held before being postponed because of the pandemic.

The Kentucky Derby was earlier postponed to September 5. A rescheduled date has not yet been decided for the Belmont, the final Triple Crown race, originally scheduled for June 6.
