Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League and the National Basketball Association are the United States-based sports leagues dealing with the coronavirus pandemic.

The three are attempting to deal with how and if games will be played. The NBA and NHL are trying to finish their seasons while MLB is waiting to see if they can get their season started.

Of course public and player health are the top issues the three leagues are dealing with.

The NBA is contemplating whether to resume the regular season or just go into playoffs. Also on the agenda will be a training camp for two weeks to get the players back into shape.

They are also discusing just playing at one or two sites with no fans attending.

In the NHL, the season could get back on track in late June or early July. Whether the regular season continues or going into the playoffs is part of the talks.

There would be at least a two week re-training camp. NHL says it will use home arenas but could hold games in neutral sites.

Major League Baseball is an unknown until an end to the virus is in sight.

Talks have been about putting all 30 teams in Phoenix, Arizona in spring training ballparks. There would be no fans allowed but games would be on TV, radio stations and streaming.

There will probably be a lot of doubleheaders and more games in a week in an attempt to get as many in as possible for the season.
