Twenty-seven People Charged In Widespread Racehorse Doping

Federal authorities announced Monday that 27 people, including trainers, veterinarians, and others, have been charged in a widespread racehorse doping scheme.

 

Among them is trainer Jason Servis, whose horses include Maximum Security, who crossed the finish line first in last year's Kentucky Derby, but was disqualified for interference. Maximum Security is among the horses Servis is accused of giving performance-enhancing drugs to help them run faster.
