Tyler, Brandon Marschewski Advance To Wrestling Sectional

MATTOON -- Brandon Marschewski and Tyler Marschewski advanced from the Class 2A Mattoon Wrestling Regional Saturday to sectional action.

B. Marschewski, wrestling at 145 pounds, captured first place. Marschewski pinned his first opponent in 2:48 then took another pin in :58. His final victory was a 5-1 decision.

T. Marschewski took a win over his opponent with a 15-13 decision at 152 pounds. He then lost with a pin in 1:22 to finish second.

Zach Keitel took fourth at 132 pounds. Kendall Ballman finished fourth at 138 pounds while Jarrett Jones was fourth at 170 pounds. Gage Franklin took fourth at 182 pounds.

Effingham finished fifth out of 10 teams.

The Marschewski brothers advance to the Lincoln Sectional Friday and Saturday.
